Within the Department of Statistics is the Waikato Centre for Applied Statistics, through which members of the Department carry out research and consultancy in close collaboration with other research institutes and industry. In particular, with researchers in the nearby Ruakura Agricultural Centre, one of the world's leading agricultural research establishments.
